The mission of the World Trade Center is to facilitate on behalf of our members the addition of wealth and jobs in Louisiana through international trade, economic development and allied activities by supporting a prosperous international business climate in Louisiana with advocacy, information, education, and stakeholder programs and services. Implementation of our mission results in the retention, recruitment and expansion of Louisiana-based international businesses, contributing to the state’s overall economic development. Through these and other programs, WTC New Orleans serves as a catalyst in furthering Louisiana’s trade with other countries and bringing together international buyers and sellers to generate new business.

Dating back to its origins more than 50 years ago, the World Trade Center of New Orleans is the founding member of the World Trade Centers Association, an organization comprised of over 300 World Trade Centers in almost 100 countries across the globe. The World Trade Center of New Orleans counts among its membership many leading multinational corporations and select small and medium-sized enterprises located throughout the Gulf region and concentrated in the state of Louisiana with strong business interests in global markets. Individual members represent a diverse population of international business professionals located in New Orleans and throughout the Gulf South region.

Our members represent a broad spectrum of sectors including banking and financial services, legal, manufacturing, transportation, mining, oil and gas, and government agencies. Members form a unique collaborative network that supports efforts to conduct international business successfully. Members participate in a variety of public conferences and panels, members-only events, private meetings, and conference calls featuring hemispheric leaders from government and the private sector. Members also interact with guest speakers and their peers during roundtables, business missions, and conferences that feature open dialogue and networking opportunities.
